Christmas was great, we had lots of company and time with family.
It always seems to go by so quickly. We made the most of this Christmas break and really relaxed and visited all the family we could.
It seems that as the kids get older I don’t quite get as many pics Christmas morning as I used to, which is strange because I pretty much have my camera strapped to my body at all times, but maybe it’s my Christmas gift to them, I kind of chill on the pics and actually participate in the goings ons.
We headed over to Mimi and Grandpa’s Christmas night, it amazes me how the kids are all growing. I have tried to get a pic of them evey year on the couch to document the rapid changes. We added a new guy to the mix this year, this is Nick, he is the son of Jeremy’s girlfriend.
He has a sister Lydia, they had come for a visit at Thanksgiving but she opted not to come back at Christmas. I hope our crew didn’t scare her off.
The day after Christmas is Tyson’s birthday so we headed out to Union to the firehouse where Justin works and attended
Tyson’s 1st Birthday!
Justin set up a bunch of activities for the kids to do. It was so cool. He even dressed up in full uniform, that is his leg on the left. I thought these mini fire hoses were so cool.
You never know how the cake is going to go over with the first timers. Tyson’s reaction was classic. He put a finger in, tasted it, looked at everybody and then put his mouth down and went for it.
I have the coolest husband in the world and he put his practical/logical thinking aside and bought me a flash for my camera, I in turn bought an accessory for my flash and now my camera is so big that my arm was sore by the end of the day.
I put this pic on here so you can see just how ridiculous I look and also I thought the picture looks very old fashioned, plus what’s with the pinky in the air, such the lady at all times.
Getting a group shot can be trying…..
this crew is even more difficult, but these pics are good for prosperity.
There was a lot of snow at Papa Nicks and Grandma Betty’s, so we brought along the snow suits and the kids worked on a snowman.
at times there were some creative differences
But all in all we had a great time, back to reality tomorrow and I don’t think any of us are ready!
