It’s been so long since I have taken any pictures. Being trapped inside and the lack of sun makes for not much material, in my opinion. But the sun is slowly returning and with that my motivation.
I will give some of the highlights
My neighbor Debbie organized a fundraiser for the kids to help with Haiti relief fund and to help instill a sense of humanitarianism. The event was a big success, goodies were donated by local businesses as well as individuals and in total they raised over $700.00
Here the kids are hard at work sampling the merchandise.
So helpful! We actually did pay for that!
The “flooring” in this picture is a prop, I had no models to use it on so I had to go still life. But isn’t it cool. It’s paper, it photographs beautifully I think, and looks like old barn wood.
The Pinewood Derby
That is Mason’s car coming in 3rd. As you know this is Mason’s first year in boy scouts and thus his first race. Although Mike and Mason worked on it “together” I think after seeing some of the cars this year Mason will be wanting to step up his design for next year.
I know most of you who read this blog only do so because you receive it in e-mail form, but if you go looking for it on the web, you need to be aware that I have changed the name. I wanted to do something more anonymous what with my sudden fame from being on the Pioneer Woman website(kidding) but seriously I have been thinking for a while that I would like to not have our last name in the actual web address. So If you view it thru your browser or you want to share it with a friend. the link is www.youremissingit.blogspot.com (if you check it out online it is a little more colorful, but not necessary)
